When an Unexpected Expense Becomes a Big Problem, Circle of Hope Can Help

Sometimes, it’s the things we don’t plan for that can throw everything off.

A car needs new brakes. A tire goes flat. A rock destroys your windshield. For a family already stretching every dollar, an unexpected repair can feel overwhelming.

And the truth is, there aren’t many places to turn for help with expenses like these.

That’s why United Way of Bristol created Circle of Hope.

Circle of Hope helps working individuals and families facing unexpected, “outside-the-box” expenses that can create a financial setback. This can include things like vehicle repairs, tires, brakes and other needs that don’t typically qualify for traditional assistance programs.

Why does that matter?

Because having a reliable vehicle can mean the difference between getting to work and missing a shift. It can mean being able to get a child to an appointment, pick up groceries or simply keep life moving.

Circle of Hope is about stepping in when a person is doing their best to stay on track, but an unexpected expense threatens to knock them off course.

Every situation is different, and eligibility is based on individual circumstances. If you are working and facing an unexpected expense and aren’t sure where to turn, we encourage you to apply through United Way of Bristol. Our team can talk with you about your situation and determine whether Circle of Hope may be able to help.

At United Way of Bristol, we believe sometimes help doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s simply about recognizing a gap and finding a way to fill it.

That’s what Circle of Hope is all about! Providing a little help at the right time, when it can make a big difference.
